Losing It by Cora Carmack

4.0

Wow. So I read this in a day? I can't remember the last time I finished reading a book in less than a day.

Losing It was a very fast and fun read for me. I was very hesitant about this book at first. The cover is extremely suggestive, so I just had to get an ebook copy of this instead of an actual book. Yes, I admit it - I would be too embarrassed to read a book like this in public. But after reading some reviews that said there is nothing too raunchy about it, I finally decided to read.

I absolutely loved reading this story in Bliss's POV! Our heroine certainly isn't the usual clueless girl we often read about. Bliss is goofy but not stupid, you know? I also liked that she wasn't a straight-up prude. She may have never done the deed, but that didn't mean she was completely ignorant when it came to guys. Her personality was very refreshing, in a way that she was funny without being annoying, and that she could also be serious when needed.

Garrick was also perfect. I was afraid that after the whole debacle in the beginning that he would become the usual rude guy in the story, but nope. He remained a gentleman all the way. Swoooon. I loved how vulnerable he was wherever Bliss was concerned. And yes, that accent. Everyone seems to love it. I am no exception.

As for the rest of the characters, they were all solid. I absolutely loved all of them.

Although this is kind of one of those insta-love stories, I feel like everything fell into place. They connected, and it just really worked. And I was so close to giving this book 5 stars, but I didn't like the Epilogue too much. I think the book was better off without it.

A little saddened by the fact that there will be no more Bliss and Garrick in the next book, but hopefully I'll fall in love with Cade and whoever he is paired up with, the way I did the characters in Losing It. :)
