Glass and God by Anne Carson
4.0
Anne Carson continues to write books that find themselves at the exact intersection of themes i die for. I am a greek myth nerd, a bronte nerd, and a sad bitch. i read this regularly, and i think about it a lot too.
some of the writings fly over my head because im not that well-read or smart to catch all the references, but my god does her writing make me feel things. i don't think i have read an anne carson book where i didn't at least get teary-eyed.
This one is not my favorite Anne Carson, but let's be honest. All Anna Carson is my favorite Anne Carson. I am honestly, addicted. I gave it 4/5 just because i didn't like ~everything~ in the book, or needed to read it more than once to like, get it, but yeah. It's good.
