The Bodyguard Situation by Lyra Parish
4.0
I really liked this book but I didn't love it. However, there were parts of it that I really really enjoyed (the hospital scenes? hilarious)
Brody is a character that I have been curious about since the 1st book in this series. I am very happy we got to read his story. I wish, though, that we had gotten more details about how a trust fund baby joins the military and then becomes a bodyguard for his family..... (Why??? what is the reason?) I really wish that aspect of his life story had been explored a little more.
Harper... I love everything about her, and I love her and Brody together. I like how she pulled him out of his shell, and I really enjoyed their playful banter. She really is the perfect match for him. Harper is the strong heroine we deserve and a character with the capacity to inspire.
Lyra Parish is really good at writing yearning men... and Brody is another example of that.
Would I recommend it? Duh...
