It wasn't bad it just wasn't remarkable. One of the things that annoyed me is how the rules of society and property at that time just dont seem to apply here at all. Also am i the only one who found it weird that her friend's husband cared way to much about heroine's virtue? Like to the point where he would get violent and make death threats umm...what? Honestly if i haven't read the previous book i might have suspected he might be a love interest. I dont know it just didnt feel very historically authentic
