This definitely had a lot of elements that I like that are also seen in books like hunger games, divergent, fourth wing, etc. I’m always a fan of trials and challenges and I wish we saw them in a bit more detail. I also love when books have some kind of training montage vibe that makes me want to learn how to kill someone (in a cute way). I think that the plot overall was somewhat predictable and at times slow paced but I did enjoy it overall and am excited to get more into the series.
