No Paths Are Bound by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu

3.0

3 or 3.5 not sure yet.
Phew finally, my copy was 1106 pages and yeah I read 1106 pages.
This book was unnecessarily way longer than needed to be.
Iَ absolutely loved the development of XL and HC's relationship, Black Water arc tore my heart out, YY backstory.
The Kingdom of Wuyong storyline was so gripping and brilliant, you are always on edge trying to figure out what's going on, the foreshadowing points, those slow reveals and parallels were so well done I was on edge the whole time. The way that the book ended connecting it perfectly to book 4 (a flashback book) while still feeling anxious about book 5 and how XL and HC are gonna deal with what happened.
But all those side quests with side characters and backstories I didn't really care about I was bored because again I don't give a single fuck about them, if I can skim read I would've done it, but i have to read every word. *sighs*
