I am SO glad I did the tandem read. The idea of having to go back in time after finishing this to go to the beginning of Tower of Dawn is not an appealing one.
Queen of Shadows is, overall, probably still my favorite in the series. But this entire series is truly SJM's masterpiece. The fact that I was getting nauseous at the end of this book because of Aelin's ~situation~ it's just masterful writing. You feel everything that everyone is feeling, and the fact that she's able to do that across so many characters and in a world that she created is incredible.
I am mildly terrified to go from this to Crescent City and sell my soul the rest of the way.
