Belladonna deserves the hype with it's lush gothic setting, a murder mystery that keeps you guessing, & an alliance with none other than Death himself! Adalyn Grace managed to infuse this story with a murder mystery, hauntingly gothic/regency setting, spooky vibes and a delicious angsty romance.

"Your name is no curse, Little Bird. I just like the taste of it."

It was at this point that I knew Death was going to be swoony (I never thought I would say that in my entire life, yet here we are) lol.

There were many points in the book that had me gasping out loud, laughing, swooning, and rooting for our heroine along the way. The mystery, unique fantastical elements, and plot twists kept me at the edge of my seat. I had such a hard time putting this down.

"Do not change parts of yourself that you like to make others comfortable. Do not try to mold yourself to fit in the standards someone else has set for us.”

Grace's writing is sure to enchant all who pick this gem up. I will try to be patient as I eagerly await book 2, but just know that I absolutely adored this!
