Monstrous Regiment by Terry Pratchett

5.0

This book manages to be everything the Discworld series is so enjoyable for - Pratchett's humor, sly references to roundworld culture, fantasy and the general fun poking at fantasy, interesting characters - and meanwhile offers an out of the ordinary view on a very-important-theme. It isn't just funny, it also leaves you with some food for thought.

a. Can a country as a whole be insane?
b. Do well-placed socks make a difference?
