I made the mistake of seeing the film before reading the graphic novel, and the film is an improvement in so many regards. The spy thriller storyline is not one of my favorites, and the graphic novel leans heavily into it. A little too "Tinker, Tailor, Solider, Spy" for me. I appreciated the plot twists and the overall writing and illustration methods, but seeing them played out on the big screen was much more entertaining.
