(arc review) well that was a fun one. I was looking for a good book with a "touch her and die" trope, where the FMC is the stabby one. This book very much has a very stabby FMC and it made me happy :)
There's a decent amount of spice in it, which is also a win.
Besides the actual story, what I enjoy most is the surrounding. You get an overview about the world that this sets in and the relevant history from the previous books, so it is truly standalone, but you're not lost at any point or feel like you have to read the earlier books to get inside jokes. The book also comes with a curated playlist, which i absolutely love. And it does help that it's part of a larger world and that there are other books in the world, so if you want more of that you can just continue reading:)
