Carry on by Rainbow Rowell

A great story. I love the way the author writes her characters. They feel so real.

While the world of mages dreamed up for this book is reminiscent of many others and at times almost is a parody of them, it is entirely its own entity and extremely interesting in its own way.

I think my only critique is that while the book did an excellent job of introducing the character and the world and building up and following through with the relationship between Simon and Baz, the ending was rushed. It almost got lost in their relationship I think. There were a couple of things left unexplained or not completely closed off.

If course it was still a really nice read that I thoroughly enjoyed from beginning to end.
