A pleasure to be back in Less’s life and with Less’s shenanigans. Greer, with Less, is one of the voicier, most personality-packed authors right now.
I found the pointed Black/white mentions a little jarring in their difference in feeling from the rest of the writing and story, but of course the series of harsh distinctions made perfect sense when we met the Other Arthur Less.
A (fun, mostly lighthearted) reflection on the choices we make and the way they shape where we end up—and how that journey ultimately reveals the (sometimes surprising) priorities we hold
(cheese over love, or not)
. Also, an exploration and maybe discovery of America, as a state of the union of sorts as well as a geographical tour.
