I finally picked up Queenie and read the second half in one sitting. Hilarious, gut-wrenching, frustrating, and emotional. I'd read an excerpt of the book right before it was published and remember laughing at Queenie's internal (and external) dialogue in the opening scenes. But even in the first few pages, there are clues that things are not great for Queenie. Very well-written, with supporting characters that will make you smile and break your heart. Queenie is unforgettable.
