This was a fascinating "what if" book. I have never read an alternative history book and I really liked the idea. I didn't think I had a lot of the background knowledge that might have made this book an easier read for me as I was often googling things a lot - the author does have a handy section at the end to let you know where facts end and fiction begins. The story was somewhat slow then sort of ended and everything was wrapped up VERY quickly at the end - so that was a hard pill to swallow.
I also think that it is a very timely book given the current president and his inability to say that Nazis are bad as well as him being vulnerable to blackmail similar to the president in this book. I would say give this a go if you are wondering how we got to where we are in our political landscape, or if you just like alternative history fiction!
