This book has kind of solidified the way i feel about John Green, he’s a great author in ways i can never be so i can’t hate on him for that - however all of his books are the same to me with the same types of tropes just tweaked a little. i feel like in this book specifically he just used big words to use big words and i would catch myself generally skipping over the huge blocks of text of Augustus going on one of his spiels - which would end up not mattering to the story anyways and was always there just to establish that he’s a certified “Deep Guy™️” felt a little pretentious and honestly a little disappointing
