LaRocca has mastered the art of poetic splatterpunk in a way that has ruined me for any other author in the genre. This book was everything I hoped it would be. Gruesome, unforgettable short stories are folded into this disturbing novel in an effortless way, and those are what I’ve always loved most about LaRocca. This book is so brutal. Nothing is off-limits and it will take a piece of you with it.
