Angel's Devil by Suzanne Enoch
4.0
James Faring, Marquis of Abbonley, finally returned home. After a less than pleasant past and a stint as a soldier, he had returned to England. He intended to earn some respectability and, eventually, a wife. He was finally ready to set up house.
Except now he met Lady Angelique Graham; his cousin Simon's secret betrothed.
Supposedly young and in love, their elders told them to wait before officially announcing their engagement. In order to get them to change their minds, they encouraged James to pretend he was enamored with "Angel". They felt his skittish past would quicken the marriage.
Except things backfired. For everyone.
ANGEL'S DEVIL is simply an enjoyable romance. I loved watching James and Angel secretly fall in love. Things began to unravel and Simon started to show his weaknesses. There was a gentleness with fire that the author gave her characters. I know, I know, it doesn't make sense but after you read this romance you will understand.
