You Say Tomato, I Say Shut Up: A Love Story
by Annabelle Gurwitch, Jeff Kahn
In an effort to cut down on the number of books I read about murder, the holocaust and general depravity, I thought I'd try this humorous memoir. The first several chapters are amusing--withe the same story being told by each author. I don't think this format was sustainable over a whole book. The book got repetitive in format and content. It was also very difficult to read about their baby's birth defects--perhaps because they were written about in an oddly flippant, "humorous" way. Maybe if I had read it faster, I wouldn't have gotten bored, but I found I had to make myself finish the book.
