So far my least favourite in the series. Lots of to-ing and fro-ing. Helene repeatedly saying she can’t let the Commandant get the better of her, then letting the Commandant get the better of her. Did a fair bit of skimming, but I’m still invested enough to read on to the 4th and final book in the series & hope that it is a worthy conclusion.
