The Believer, Issue 106 by

5.0

Came across this magazine in our library's take/leave free magazine rack. I knew of McSweeney's, but I'd no idea about The Believer. Filled with great articles and interviews written by and about people and art I care about. Pieces by writers Nick Hornby and Daniel Handler. Interviews with Mike White, (American Psycho director) Mary Harris, and (Woody Allen/Copola cinematographer) Gordon Willis among others. Comics, poetry, a transcribed conversation between Portlandia's Carrie Brownstein and Fred Armisen and lots more. I read it from cover to cover, then watched the included DVD of abstract, jazzy, animated shorts by the husband and wife team of John & Faith Hubley. I'm so glad to have come across this beautifully bound and lovingly crafted publication. I will most definitely be subscribing. Fantastic.
