The Year of the Flood by Margaret Atwood

4.0

This was the perfect audio book for a long 16 hour drive. It held my attention in a way that I'm not sure reading it would have. By the middle of the story I was pretty frustrated by the lack of motivation and confidence in the two main women characters. I'd like to think that if I thought I was one of the last people alive on Earth, I'd have a bit more grit...but who's to say? Maybe I'd just curl up in a ball and let myself be eaten by a liobamb? Overall though, I enjoyed the story and the not so subtle connections to our present day world. I'll read MaddAddam, the last of the triology.
