Maybe our parents' lives are imprinted within us, maybe the only fate there is is the temptation of reliving their mistakes. Maybe, try as we might, we will never be able to outrun the blood that runs through our veins. Or. Or maybe we are free the moment we're born. Maybe everything we've ever done is by our own hands.

Another powerful entry by Taylor Jenkins Reid, but this one in a much different way then Daisy Jones & the Six. Where both books deal so heavily with the price people are willing to pay to be famous, this one gets more to the heart of the price people are willing to pay in their families name as well.

Taylor Jenkins Reid does a masterful job of creating flawed characters. Flawed people that you still want to root for, and flawed people that you don't even want to think about. And her ability to pack both of those types of characters into a single page is even more incredible.

I can understand why everyone is raving about her as a writer. I'm super excited to read the last two of this set.
