did it have me kicking my feet a few times ? yes.
is it a good easy read? yes.
was it a literally masterpiece ? no.
mallory as a main character was fine. she had the same self deprecation/overbearing as a lot of other characters in no way that stuck out to me. i didn’t love nolan’s character of assuming he knows everything about mallory. at some points the chess got to confusing or as a main which i understand is part of the point but i didn’t love the way it was approached. the forgiving of easton annoyed me towards the end as she shifted the blame back to mallory for not texting even tho she had been?? and then easton got mad that mallory didn’t tell her she was in a relationship (she wasn’t officially) yet easton did that exact thing?? shitty.
