Unbelievably CUTE! We follow Viv as she puts down her sword and fighting days behind her, in search for something meaningful in her life. We watch as the plans come into place. From building, to serving, to full on thriving. But not without its own little troubles.
This found family tale made me feel so warm and bubbly inside, constantly craving not only another chapter, but a cup of coffee!
The plotline was nice, satisfying and light. It's something refreshing to read, considering how much we read that involves high stakes and every emotion possible. It's nice having something that makes you just happy.

OMG the characters! This cast is just an adorable little bunch, I love them all. They're all just kind and pure, even the bad guys aren't all that bad.
Special shout out to Mister Thimble though, I have never encountered such a cute little character in my life, I could actually cry from how cute he is! No lie! I love this rattkin with everything I have.
Can I get a dire-cat too? What a beautiful creature it is.
Durias is such a curious character <<SPOILER WARNING>> is he a time traveller? Playing chess with himself? He seems to know the outcomes like he's already been there, I was so curious about this. <<END OF SPOILERS>>

What a world this is, I love learning about everything it takes these guys to create the shop itself, from the roofing to woodwork to supplies, it's just incredible.
The amount of detail that goes into describing the surrounding areas, scenes and even the descriptions of the tastes and smells, it's the perfect type of world building that I'm living for.
Thune seems like a such a lovely place, I just want to go down to this cafe and take it all in with a Latte and cinnamon roll.

I like how easy and simple this is to fall in love with. That it's cosy, and you can read it without feeling anxious for any outcome, knowing that everything is going to be okay.
What I like most is how each chapter has a cute little picture, hinting at what the chapter ahead will include. I just love it when books have these little attentions to detail, which is something the author has gone into while writing this book.

There's not really anything I dislike, all I can think of is that I wish there was more to some of the characters, as cute as they are, they can come across as a bit simple and one note.
Maybe if this was a little longer, or even if there's more to come from this little world then maybe then? But I'm probably just reaching here because I'm happy with what we've got.

Calming, cozy, cute, and constantly craving coffee. This book is something everybody needs to go out and get. We get so wrapped up in the drama and adventure and high emotions of other reads, that I find a read like this to be a necessity to every book readers bookshelves.
