Five things about Poison Princess by Kresley Cole ๐๐๐๐๐
1. The book stack rating for this one is based on pure enjoyment not literary merit. To be clear, this is a post-apocalyptic, YA Romance, fantasy and it is a lot. And I love it.
2. This was a reread. I first read this in 2016. I believe the last book in the series is finally being released this year so Iโm doing a reread. Let me just say that while I remembered what happenedโฆI didnโt remember how any of it happened at all. I thought I had but I was remembering almost everything incorrectly. Itโs like my brain took the main points and built its own little story that ended up at the same place but took a completely different route. ๐
3. Every time Jack calls Evie โbebeโ I die a little inside. Itโs got to get the award for most cringy term of endearment ever used in a YA novel.
4. For all itโs cringe-worthiness this book was impossible to put down. I had not intended to read it in a few hours this evening but I just kept saying Iโve more chapter until it was done.
5. I am so excited to read the second book next month. I am so curious if I remember it any more correctly than I did this one.
