My Favorite of the Series!
Before Jamaica Lane just might be my favorite Samantha Young book yet! Nate and Liv’s story had me hooked from the beginning. When Liv moves to Scotland, she and Nate quickly become close friends—and over time, they turn into best friends. The way their friendship builds feels so natural and real.
Liv is a little shy and self-conscious when it comes to guys, while Nate is, well… the opposite. Super experienced and a bit of a flirt. So when Liv asks Nate for some “lessons” to help her feel more confident around men, I thought it was such a fun twist—but also full of heart. She even has her eye on a guy at the university library where she works, which adds to the tension.
But of course, nothing stays simple for long. Their lessons start to mean more, and you can feel the emotional shift so clearly. The chemistry between them is undeniable. Still, Nate has something from his past that keeps getting in the way, and it makes everything even more complicated.
This book made me feel so much—it’s romantic, funny, heartbreaking, and sweet all wrapped into one. I couldn’t put it down.
