Despite rating this book 3.75 stars, I honestly quite liked it. The reading was fairly engaging and not too dense unlike other novels I’ve read by philosophers. I liked the characters and the imagery presented, and there was obviously a lot to analyze. Some images really stuck with me, actually.
That said, it never really moved me at all and I was left feeling pretty apathetic about everything I’d read. I imagine that's intentional in some regard-- I don't think it's supposed to be super moving and intense-- but it was just not my favorite because of that.
I'm really glad I read it once, as much as it's not a favorite or anything.
