Come As You Are: Revised and Updated: The Surprising New Science That Will Transform Your Sex Life by Emily Nagoski

“But women aren’t broken versions of men; they’re women.”

This book was really eye opening and I'm glad I crossed paths with it. I have had a lot of trauma wrapped up in my sexuality but most of it has never had a name. Halfway through this book I had an epiphany and it snowballed until so many things began to make sense. So many things I never knew because our culture finds it taboo to educate people about their own bodies. If we are never taught that it's important, how are we supposed to know? I'm happy my journey in life led me to understand that it is important and that I took the steps to understand myself more. I'm not saying this is a cure all, I'm just saying it definitely provided the context I needed to know what direction to take next.
