Caliban and the Witch: Women, the Body and Primitive Accumulation by Silvia Federici

4.0

I'll admit I wouldn't have picked this up if it weren't assigned for my book club, but I'm very glad I ended up reading it! It's a fantastic overview of the interlink between the development of capitalism and the oppressions of various groups of people (this book focusing primarily on women). While most leftists practice an intersectional approach to their politics, this book highlights the material roots of the intersection between various forms of oppression; for that reason alone, it's a must read.
