Really glad I read this, even though it didn’t hook me very well at first and I put it down for a while. The gore is surprisingly palatable because you are desensitized pretty early on. McCarthy’s uniquely blunt voice works really well. Enjoyable to read despite the dark content.
Graphic: Death, Gore, Suicidal thoughts, Violence, Blood, Grief, Cannibalism, Fire/Fire injury
