Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator by Roald Dahl

1.0

Whereas Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was full of whim and charm, this sequel is an immature smattering of quarter-baked ideas, championed by a Wonka who appears more insane than disturbed genius.

This odd tale picks up where the first book left off (retrieving Charlie's family with the Glass Elevator), up into space with an alien battle taking place on a giant space hotel, back down to earth, then literally into the underworld and back again before wrapping up.

Save yourself the time, don't read this.
