Goodbye, Eri by Tatsuki Fujimoto

5.0

I’ve only read 2 mangas by Tatsuki Fujimoto; this one and Look Back, and I can definitely say I’m a fan. He masterfully illustrates how it feels to lose someone with a touch of magical realism that’s so seemlessly intertwined with reality. The stories flowed so effortlessly that it felt almost natural. I cannot even begin to explain how soft and compassionate he describes the process of loss and acceptance alongside some of the most beautifully detailed panels I’ve seen. Even if you’re not into manga, these are worth the read. I can see myself coming back to reread this over and over again. 5 stars.
