This book tells the story of a former X rated movie actress and her descent into a horrifying situation with abuse, and other heavy handed subjects. If you do not have a strong stomach stay away from this book, there is also themes of sexual assault on animals. With that said, this book not only shows you how her mental state goes down and comes back around slowly but also the lengths someone goes to truly try and overcome this tragedy. The wording in this book is very outdated however (this book was written in 1980) so there is a lot of homophobia and old world thinking. But rest assured it should not detract from the story. It can be a little jarring though.
