OK Whew! First can we all just take a moment and raise some hands to a standalone sequel??!! Can I get a woop woop😂😂 Prey No More is book 2 in the Desire Card series but absolutely nothing is missed if you haven't read Immoral Origins. Still though...go read book 1 and begin your trip into the dark side. Then come grab Prey No More and go even darker.
This time around, we get to see a different aspect of the Desire Card organization. We still get gritty, bloody and sinister all throughout this one BUT we also get to see what happens when an operative won't cross a certain line. The fallout that comes from the decision to tap into that moral code begins a spiral that delves into some dark places, both mentally and physically. Speak to my soul Mr. Goldberg!😂
