This is a beautiful book that truly stands out among the seemingly endless heap of poorly-written Greek retellings being pumped out to profit from the trend. The prose is halting but strangely poetic and does a fantastic job at maintaining a strong sense of a suffocating atmosphere, and Medea's rage and desperation are present throughout. Just wonderfully written.
