I liked this one a lot. I think this book is a masterclass in telling a layered story (dual POV, story within a story) and the MMC emotional ark felt more realistic that the average romance novel rather than a means to the end in the plot.
I told a friend 100 pages in that I thought that they should break up because they were both emotionally immature and imagine my surprise when that’s exactly what happened! that part of the story was very well done, even though I think the timeline on Thea’s emotional maturation should’ve been longer than 18 hours or so.

I agree with other reviews that some of the side characters come off as more annoying that theyre worth. I also agree that Thea can actually be quite annoying as well, but I had fun reading it and the structure of the book was fun as well.
