The second book in the Robert Hunter series by Chris Carter, The Executioner was even more gory, gruesome and gripping than the first.
The short chapters and constant cliffhangers kept me wanting more and I found it difficult to find a place to stop. I was addicted from the first page and the opening scene. This was an absolutely chilling read.
I love the detail the author puts in to his characters, the scenes and the way that Hunter comes to his conclusions. It draws you in and really allows you to see into the mind of not only serial killers but a brilliant detective. What an amazing author Chris Carter is. The way his mind works is just *chefs kiss*
I can't fault this series so far and I have no doubt it will be a favourite of mine for years to come.
