The Culture of Critique: An Evolutionary Analysis of Jewish Involvement in Twentieth-Century Intellectual and Political Movements by Kevin MacDonald

5.0

Very informative. 5 stars because I value new perspectives, especially on seemingly unrelated phenomena, movements and individuals.
Having a biomedical background, I already had an aversion towards psychoanalysis, and all the po-mo mumbo jumbo having been exposed several years ago to the Sokal Affair.
Also, I like to think of myself as a Darwinist, so unscientific, ideologically driven narratives about the human mind and behavior have never fitted well with me. Behind all these and other issues and interrelated debates stands a certain ethnicity. Every single time! :)
This book is highly sourced, and I checked a few of those myself (those I could find online), but it's not perfect. Sometimes it gets repetitive.
I'd put this together with a Conflict of Visions from Th. Sowell, among my top fav books, for their explanatory power.
