Yeah, all those five star reviews aren't lying. I could not put this book down.

Evelyn's and Monique's parallel stories in The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo are about staying true to who you really are and seizing what you want from the world with no shame, all confidence. That theme speaks to me on a fundamental level, and for that, I will recommend this book to literally everyone.

The book also deals with some deeper topics, such as the various meanings of love and soulmates and of course, the struggles of being gay/bisexual, especially in the 20th century.

There's not much more to say, besides that the story brings us along into the life and stardom of Evelyn Hugo while she makes a name for herself out of nothing. She marries 7 times, yes. But the question that remains is, who was the love of Evelyn's life???

Read it. Maybe you'll find out ;)
