Usually I don't mind an age gap, but this kind of felt... sleazy more than anything. The whole conflict being a mom secretly sleeping with her daughters best friend really just made this drag out. I had to DNF near the end of the book because it started to feel like a chore to read, and I wasn't really invested in the "romance". Not to yuck anyone's yum, but this book is definitely not much of a romance at all. The forbidden sex is kind of the focal pount, and even with the sex I really couldn't sense a real connection between the two MCs outside of them just thinking the other is hot. There is essentially no plot and the main characters are just so immature and low-key just annoying. Which is sad because I was so looking forward to reading a sapphic romance. Maybe this author's writing style just isn't for me.
