Although it can be read as a continuation of A Doll's House, I do not think that it has the same emotional impact as A Doll's House, nor it's interesting open ending. Like Hedda Gabler, it has a closed ending, but  Hedda Gabler's end feels more emotionally satisfying than Ghost's end. If you're a fan of Ibsen, I would definitely recommend it, but if you're looking for your first Ibsen play, I suggest you read A Doll's House or Hedda Gabler first.
