Seeing You by Samantha Chase

5.0

I started off really, and I mean really disliking Marcus, but he slowly but surely redeemed himself. I completely understood all the reasons Billie walked away from him over 10 years ago, and I wish it hadn't taken him so long to see and hear her. However, I firmly believe that things happen when they should and neither Billie nor Marcus were ready for the future they'd been planning their first time around.

At her core Billie was a small town gal that loved her family and wanted to be near them. She walked away from the only man she ever loved to stay true to herself and I admired her strength in doing so. Marcus harbored a lot of pain from his mother's passing that led him to a life that didn't fulfill him nearly as much as he thought. When he finally made his way home and ran into Billie, I knew they were going to work their way back to each other.

Marcus had a lot of personal growth to navigate and I appreciated how well his journey was written. His and Billie's individual and couple growth was realistic and relatable and I really enjoyed their story.

Now I can't wait to see how Max takes the news...
