Strange, but emotional. I felt for Annie every step of the way as she discovered her robotic humanity (Trust me, you'll grasp that complexity as you read). She's written as a child in an "adult" body fighting against an appalling man, her owner, and instances determined to keep her in her place.

I wanted to toss my book against a wall each time Doug (and Roland). How detestable but so honest about how some insecure men walk the Earth aimed at making others bend to their wills, even with the use of technology! Seriously terrifying.

Highly recommended! 4.25/5
