The Warmth of Other Suns: The Epic Story of America's Great Migration by Isabel Wilkerson

5.0

If you have not read this book yet, during these times of social injustice and civil rights, I highly recommend it. It is an unbiased view of the migration of Black Southerners during the time right before WWI. This was the time of the Jim Crow law in the south. It is told from a historical perspective and that of 3 Southerners who made the migration successfully. This book will help to understand the race relations of today from a purely factual standpoint.
I learned more than I ever thought I would from this type of book. I have much reflection to do.
