Modern take on Jane Eyre- whew, very modern very suspenseful- the story hits the same beats but the main character doesn’t feel like Jane Eyre at all. That being said who knows what Jane Eyre would’ve been in our time period? The original was considered a bit of a rebel for her time period. This retelling lacks most of the depth of that story but it was a pretty entertaining thriller.
