All My Sons by Arthur Miller

1.0

I really didn't like this. Just what I didn't need on today's drive, a lot of of yelling, screaming, and hysterics. I understand that this was written in a different time (1947) and women were looked upon differently but the constant reminders how pretty Annie was and the comments about how nice her legs were were kind of irritating. And don't forget to mention about how pretty Lydia was, too. I was further irritated by Frank's reoccurring astrology lessons and Kate's irrational behavior. I understand she lost a son in the war three years prior but it seemed like she was always flying off the handle and hysterical. The last third of the story seemed to be just yelling - Georgey yelling at all the Kellers and his sister, Chris yelling at his dad Joe, Kate yelling at Annie, and finally Joe yelling at Chris and Kate. It was all just so unpleasant.
