A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Guin

5.0

Read as part of this edition of the collection of Earthsea book.

There is something really beautiful about a story so simple. I love Geds journey from a prideful power hungry student to a genuinue, humble master of himself, I love Le Guins rejection of violence as the book goes on, how Ged being goaded into fighting hemself sends him to the darkness, and I love how the signs of the darkness not being what it seemed were there from the start.

I've seen some reviews that say this was a bit heavy handed with symbolism, but slap me in the face with that shit. I loved this.
