The Inn at Rose Harbor by Debbie Macomber

4.0

Reading a Debbie Macomber book is like enjoying a good hug. You know things will end right, but there will be a lot of bumps along the way. In the first of her Rose Harbor series, she establishes a widow trying out her hand at being an bed and breakfast owner as the main character. The lives of her guests and their back stories are followed as well. Abby is avoiding demons from her past and handling guilt she just can't shake. Joshua is saying goodbye to an abusive stepfather and reconnecting with a childhood friend. Light and fun with a good narrator. I really enjoyed this audio book and found myself hanging out in the car pretty often for just one more track. Looking forward to the next in the series. (Cedar Cove characters make occasional appearances so this is great for people who miss hanging out in that world!)
