If you're looking for standard werewolf schlock, then you'll probably find this perfectly serviceable. The violence is described in the kind of detail you want in this kind of book. It reminded me of the sort of vapid, gory horror films you see with your friends for a laugh - no depth whatsoever but fun. Personally, I don't think that sort of thing works quite as well on the page as on screen.
The characters are all one-dimensional, even the 'good guys' that you know will make it out at the end. You know they just exist to meet a grisly death later in the story, but you don't care enough about them to make any of it feel worth investing in. No nuance, no real goals or development to speak of. Also, the female characters are mostly damsels and a bit useless. The men also get murdered pretty quickly too but generally put up more of a fight and aren't screaming about it.
The author does nothing original, inventive, or particularly interesting with the werewolf concept. Seen it all before and done much better.
Also, there were some problems with the editing. Missing punctuation, sentences being prematurely chopped off and continuing the next line down.
There are far better werewolf novels out there.
